This site is a dynamic e-commerce music store website built using amazon web services, the backend shopping cart was custom scripted, features include the use of AJAX for client side functionality, modules include: a) Recently viewed products, b) Featured items, c) AJAX comment box (add/edit comments + list comments from amazon), d) Recent posts box with link to comments on product pages) Built in search and product categories browsing. This site was a project for an undergraduate web development course at Western. The site is a Dynamic e-commerce bookstore created using XHTML, CSS, PHP, and MYSQL. For full details regarding the construction of the site please click on the About Site link from the home page navigation bar.

ClinicWear.com

Clinicwear.com is a site developed using the ZenCart e-commerce platform. I worked closely with the client to customize the software and develope a CSS/Xhtml template the owner was looking for. All product pages are dynamic and the integrated Content Management System allows the client to manage the site independently, adding and removing products as the business grows.

International Studies Center

This site was developed using Ajax driven tabbed navigation, the site was developed from scratch incorporating the use of Css and Dynamic HTML as well as the design of all unique images.

Center for International Studies Website

This site was developed as the second iteration of the international studies center website. The new site was developed on a .NET platform and includes a SQL Server 2005 database of events and faculty information. Features include: RSS for easy access to content, a custom content management system on the administration back end that allows for any of the content to be updated in a graphical user interface, an image upload manager, custom paging of event datalists, embedded google calendar and much more.

Jims Carpet Cleaning

This site was developed for a small carpet cleaning business in Lake Chelan Washington. Skills used include CSS and XHTML, logo creation, custom navigation, and implementation of a photo slideshow.

Sport Pilot Chelan

This site was developed for a small flight training and tour business located in Chelan Washington, created using a re-structured open source template along with custom company logo and a slick photo zen photo module.

The Woods Coffee - 5 year marketing plan

As an MIS major I not only acquired technical skills, I also developed a strong business background from many related fields. For a marketing project I was able to organize a meeting with Wes Herman the CEO of The Woods Coffee in order to develop a 5 year marketing plan for the business. As acting project leader along with a group of 6 peers, we worked in direct contact with upper management to develop a tentative business plan for the company. Photography

While not a professional aspiration, I very much enjoy taking pictures of the outdoors so I included a collection of my best photographs from over the years.

Portfolio

This site was developed as a portfolio to showcase my professional work. I used an XHTML template from Open Source Templates as a foundation. I then converted and manipulated the XHTML layout to one that incorporates all aspects of DHTML including CSS and javascript to create the consistent look I was going for. I then added a banner created using flash and photoshop. Implemented PHP scripts and MSql database for the blog page and contact form. I incorporated Lightbox.js for displaying my photograph and used JAlbum for my photography page within the portfolio. The contact page also includes a module from google that allows visitors to chat with me live when logged in.
